Add the MindfulPause shortcut once. Then set up one short automation per app, about a minute each. Open the Shortcuts app and tap the Automation tab right at the bottom of the screen. Plenty of people stay on the “Shortcuts” tab and never find it. Then tap “+” → trigger type App → pick your app, tick “Is Opened” and “Run Immediately” → choose the MindfulPause shortcut. Back in MindfulPause you tap “Activate now”, and iOS asks once whether the shortcut may run. Pick “Always Allow” there so your pause stays active for good. The illustrated guide in the app under Settings → Help walks you through every tap and draws you the exact tab bar.
Then the iOS prompt got answered with “Allow Once”, which only covers that single run. Open MindfulPause, tap “Activate now” again and watch for the prompt from iOS. Choose “Always Allow” there and your pause stays active for good. If no prompt shows up at all, everything is fine. Just open one of your linked apps and see whether the pause appears.
Then “Run Immediately” is not enabled in the automation. Open the automation in the Shortcuts app and choose “Run Immediately” (instead of “Run After Confirmation”). A lot of people miss this one.
For every additional app you simply create its own automation (same steps) and pick the same MindfulPause shortcut.
